   Proposal Description:
   In collaboration with 11 other ADRCs and NACC, this project will validate a video-administered cognitive assessment for use by ADRCs whose in-person activities have been interrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic. This assessment battery, which incorporates a core set of the Uniform Data Set version 3 (UDSv3) measures, can also be used in future ADRC initiatives to support recruitment and retention of historically underserved populations who are less likely to travel to a metropolitan medical center for assessment. Our aims are:     Aim 1: Administer a set of video-adapted tests in the UDSv3/4 battery to 600 existing ADRC participants, paired (within 4-8 weeks) with their annual in-person cognitive assessment. Participants will be diverse with regard to age, race/ethnicity (~30 URG), education, geographical region and cognitive status.     Aim 2: Assess the psychometric characteristics of the video battery relative to face-to-face administration (concurrent and criterion-related validity and estimates of relative bias for each test and across important subgroups (age, ethnicity, cognitive status)). Participant ratings of acceptability/preference for each test modality will also be assessed, as will access to, confidence with, and frequency of technology use at home. Agreement between adjudication of cognitive status classifications (NC, MCI and dementia) will be examined and in-person and video administered test scores will be compared.     Aim 3: Assess the predictive validity of the video battery to detect longitudinal change in cognition and adjudication status by repeating in-person and video assessments 2 years following initial evaluation.
